KIJI 10 degree
KIJI (10°–40° adjustable)
Power: 5 → still king at reach when run at 10°.
Versatility: 3 → the adjustable 40° setting gives it legit CQB/urban usefulness, though it’s still not as “one light fits all” as a Malkoff.
Utility: 5 → mission-driven tool that can cover more scenarios than people expect.
recommended CQB HEADS
TIGHT HALLWAYS, DOORWAYS, STAIRWELLS, WHERE SPEED BEATS HESITAION, ANGLES COLLAPSE FAST, PHOTONIC BARRIERS FROM WHITE LIGHT OR IR BOUNCE OFF WALLS, AND COMMS GET DROWNED IN CHAOS.
SPEED + AWARENESS
Malkoff sir 250
Malkoff SIR250 (strong IR illuminator, wider spill)
Power: 4 → strong output, plenty for most environments.
Versatility: 4 → balances reach and usable flood, more adaptable than KIJI.
Utility: 5 → highly practical across CQB, mid-range, and transitional environments.

Illumination profiles
un-diffused + 4 programmable power levels
The KIJI 3° isn’t for painting walls—it’s for precision. With a beam so tight it feels like a laser in itself, this illuminator gives you surgical control over what you reveal and what stays hidden. It’s built for shooters who understand that in the dark, too much light can be just as dangerous as too little.
Power Levels:
Low Power (Levels 1–2):
Subtle, efficient, and stealth-oriented. These modes are made for short- to mid-range work—tight interiors, confined spaces, and quiet movement under nods. Low power keeps bloom down and your position masked. Perfect for maintaining detail without drowning in reflected light.High Power (Levels 3–4):
When the world opens up, so does the KIJI. These upper levels punch hard through photonic barriers like fog, rain, or ambient IR interference. Built for distance and target identification at range, they deliver a clean, concentrated beam that reaches farther than most illuminators dare.
Tactical Utilization:
Leverage the 3° focus to reach, not flood. Sweep methodically—each pass becomes a precision scan, not a light show. In open environments, aim for distant points to define terrain and spot movement. In CQB, feather the beam for deliberate control rather than constant illumination.
diffused + 4 progammable power levels
Where the straight 3° is a surgeon’s tool, the diffused flip-cap is a breacher’s friend. One simple flip of the cap scatters that tight beam into a controlled cone — more spill, less pinpoint — turning the KIJI into a compact, high-performance flood ideal for close-quarters battle (CQB), entry work, and fast room clearing. It’s the difference between picking a lock and lighting the whole hallway.
Power Levels:
Low Power (Levels 1–2):
Gentle, tactical illumination for room entry and movement inside buildings. Use this for initial entry, badge checks, and keeping targets in silhouette without blinding your own team or washing out NVGs. Low preserves contrast on faces and surfaces while keeping signature manageable.High Power (Levels 3–4):
Aggressive flood for fast identification and area denial inside larger rooms, warehouses, or exterior close-range setups. These modes punch through particulate, smoke, or dust kicked up by movement and give you immediate visual dominance in chaotic spaces.
Tactical Utilization:
Flip the cap pre-entry for sweeping fills on breach and immediate room coverage. Think short, broad sweeps rather than focused scans.
Start on Low (1–2) to clear corners and preserve team concealment; bump to High (3–4) only when you need instant positive ID or to suppress adversary movement.
Use burst illumination — short pulses to check zones — to avoid constant signature and to keep NVG adaptation intact for teammates.
For lane management, mount slightly offset to create overlap with your weapon-mounted laser/POA so the flood lights the context while the laser marks the point of aim.
Malkoff e1htv2
Malkoff E1HTv2 (compact white light head, 325 lumen + IR capability when paired)
Power: 3 → decent punch for its size, but not the top dog.
Versatility: 5 → shines in adaptability (fits small form factor, dual-role flexibility with CTF3).
Utility: 4 → very useful for CQB and mixed use, though less specialized at extremes.
In the world of night operations, the KIJI 3° is your scalpel. A micro-illuminator engineered for surgical precision, it throws a concentrated beam of infrared light that slices through distance.Designed for tight, controlled engagements where floodlight chaos can be a liability. The 3° KIJI thrives in long-range identification, target marking, and precision shooting under nods.
Its minimalist form factor hides a beastly output, delivering clean, coherent IR energy that pairs perfectly and easily with the CTF3. The beam’s narrow profile punches through photonic barriers and ambient wash, keeping your signature low and your target clear.
Preferred by designated marksmen and anyone who values control over clutter, the KIJI 3° isn’t about lighting up the world, its about lighting up what you need and want to see.
